Christ's Church 10th anniversary

It's been too long since I posted about what's going on at Christ's Church.  I guess I give an update from time to time about the teen ministry, but here's one for the whole church. This year we are celebrating 10 years of Connecting people to Christ, Church, and the Community.  It's exciting to be a part of this body of believers.  Growing up in Eastern NC gives me a lot of perspective on how to do church...umm..poorly...in fact, it breaks my heart ot admit that many in the region may just be doing it wrong.  I won't go any deeper in to that thought but instead state this: I'm so proud to be a part of Christ's Church, one of the churches who are doing their best to do things right.  Once thing we strive to do is connect people with Christ so HE can change their lives...their eternity.  Here is a video of the cardboard testimony that was done this past sunday to shoe just a sampling of what Christ can do for the broken lives of those he loves.  You may have seen a dozen of these...I know I had.  But these are MY friends, MY family, MY Neighbors.  It meant so much more this time.  I had the tough task of singing a song during the testimony time...I had no idea how hard it would be to hold my composure...
